ASX to rise, Dow lifts in broad rally – The Australian Financial Review

Australian shares are set to open higher with the Dow and S&P 500 rising broadly. RBA policy statement at 2.30pm AEST.

The S&P 500 was 0.3 per cent higher; six of its 11 industry groups rose, led by a 2.9 per cent leap in energy. The Nasdaq slid 0.5 per cent.
Oil rose more than 1 per cent as the latest Chinese economic figures and US vaccination rate pointed to a strong rebound in demand in the worlds two largest economies. Gains were checked by the pandemics grip on India.
